Kristen Hughes

kristen photoKristen has been athletic her entire life growing up playing softball and basketball.  In 2012, while training for a marathon, Kristen was introduced to Crossfit.  Immediately, Kristen fell in love with the sport.  Eight months into the sport, Kristen wanted more.  She went for her Level 1 certification to improve her own technique and those around her.  Seeing her devotion and dedication we asked Kristen to become part of our Crossfit 570 team.  She accepted and couldn’t wait to use Crossfit as a tool to help change people’s lives.  Some of her biggest motivations include pushing members beyond what they thought was impossible and seeing them realize what is possible and to be both motivating and inspiring.  Since joining the Crossfit 570 family she noticed that inside the Crossfit box, members are becoming fit, strong, and healthy.  Beyond the box walls, members are building confidence and a sense of accomplishment.  She couldn’t think of anything she would rather do than see the athletes of Crossfit 570 improve all aspects of their life.

Kristen also holds a CrossFit Kids Certification and manages our Kids Programs.

Robert Suprick

Bob began his CrossFit career immediately after college, as a personal trainer in California. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Exercise Science and quickly put his education to work. After moving back to Pennsylvania in 2003 Robert began training and Fighting at a Local Mixed Martial Arts school and found their methods to be very similar to those he was training with in California. After a career ending injury took him out of fighting, Robert decided he wanted to create a platform for people like him to train at high intensities with the simple goal of self improvement. CrossFit allowed him to do just that.

Dr. Jason P. Yusavage

sandy hookAs a chiropractor, Dr. Yusavage believes that in order to maintain a healthy body you need to maintain health in 3 dimensions: physical, psychological and biochemical.  Along with regular chiropractic care, Dr. Yusavage believes that proper diet and exercise, particularly Crossfit workouts, help to achieve all of these health goals.  From an early age, Dr. Yusavage gravitated towards athletics and played many different sports.  After trying many different types of workouts from conventional weight lifting, triathlon training, and combinations of different methods of physical fitness, Dr. Yusavage was introduced to Crossfit.  There was an immediate attraction to these life changing workouts and this is what led him to partner with his friend Bob Suprick to bring Crossfit 570 to Northeastern Pennsylvania.  Dr. Yusavage believes because Crossfit combines olympic lifting, gymnastics, cardiovascular training with a team atmosphere that it gives you an amazing combination that is unable to be matched by conventional exercise.  This type of training not only gets you in amazing shape but also provides a powerful core that can prevent many spinal conditions.
